Miele Dishwasher Repair F78 Error: Circulation Pump Error
Symptom: The program is interrupted and the drain pump is operated. The fault is registered when circulation pump stop operating.
Possible Causes:
- Interrupted connection between the electronic and the circulation pump.
- Faulty circulation pump (low or excess voltage, blocked, etc.)
- Frequency converter electronic defective.
Solutions:
Before setting up service to replace the pump or exchange the appliance, please perform the following steps:
- Heat up 2 cups of warm tap water in the microwave for 3 minutes. (approximately 150-160F)
- DO NOT USE HOT TAP WATER AS IT IS NOT HOT ENOUGH!
- Remove the filter assembly from the bottom of the dishwasher.
- Pour the hot water into the sump of the dishwasher and add 2-4 drops of rinseaid to the hot water.
- Let it sit for 5-7 minutes.
- While you are waiting for the hot water to heat up the circulation pump, access service mode and clear all fault codes.
- Start a new cycle after the time has elapsed. The hot water/rinse aid will drainout.
- The circulation pump will start after the dishwasher has filled with water.(Approximately 2 minutes).
- The pump should operate as normal.
- If the pump has not started after 2 minutes, try the hot water/rinse aid mixture again.
- If the pump has still not started the circulation of water, then set up service toreplace the pump.
