  • Ice maker is not making ice. First make sure that the it's turned on. Then check the water supply shut-off valve. Finally clear the ice maker from any ice cubes stuck inside or in the dispenser chute. If you can’t easily dislodge the ice, try to use warm water or a hair dryer to melt it. Replace the old water filter.

Kitchen Aid Refrigerator Freezer Drawer Hard to Open or Close

Problem:Kitchen Aid Refrigerator freezer drawer seems to bind when halfway open or closed. Cause: This may be due to the slide width being narrower than the basket width. Correction: Use the tolerance in the slide bracket and drawer holes to aid in relaxing the bind.
  1. Shut Off the Refrigerator.
  2. Remove the basket/door assembly from the refrigerator via the four 5/16” screws,
  3. Cycle the slides individually to confirm that the slide itself has not failed.
  4. Proceed to loosen the four 3/8” bolts attaching the slide bracket to the cabinet on each side.
  5. Push and hold each slide towards the wall and retighten the bolts.
  6. When reinstalling the basket/door assembly to the slides get all 4 5/16” screws started, then as tightening them down lift up on the basket .
  7. Turn on the refrigerator
